Commerce Club Honors Snellville Teachers

It's an old saying that good schools make good communities. And, the efforts of our teachers and support staff are a big part of having good schools. The Snellville Commerce Club is happy to honor the efforts of our teachers by holding teacher appreciation coffees for schools in our community.

We held our first appreciation coffee in 2009 for the faculty and staff of Snellville Middle School on February 20th.

Members Elizabeth Boyd of Regions Bank and Cindy Poole of Flagstar Bank
stand behind hundreds of pastries and donuts waiting for the teachers
to arrive. By the time we were done, there were 20 pastries left.

Teachers and staff begin to show up, undoubtedly tempted by the
smell of the pastries and the coffee.

The room got a little crowded as everyone went for the coffee and Danish.

Club co-President Jimmy Norton chats with Gwen Brown of Snellville
Middle School after a successful coffee.
