The Snellville Commerce Club:
Where Business Thrives
Welcome to the website of the Snellville Commerce Club. Please look around and see what the site has to offer. And check back often, as our site will be updated and revised frequently.
The Snellville Commerce Club was established in 1984. We currently have over 90 members who include professionals and merchants from the Snellville area. We are seeking new members who would like to benefit their businesses by becoming part of a community-based organization.
Our purpose is to establish and promote programs that strengthen the ties among members, their respective businesses, and the community. The Snellville Commerce Club has been successful in supporting its membership through informed speakers and social gatherings in pursuit of excellence in business and civic education. The Snellville Commerce Club is involved in philanthropy with non-profit organizations to improve the area where we work and live.
If you are a member, we hope the readily available information will help you keep up-to-date on our programs and activities and contribute toward your frequent participation.

What’s New
Our September speaker is Benita Dodd, vice-president of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation, an Atlanta based think tank focused on statewide issues in Georgia. Benita is a former editorial writer for the Atlanta Journal, and she should be able to provide some perspective on issues including health care reform, land use, water and transportation.
The guest speaker at our August meeting was Don Britt, chairman of the new Snellville Trade and Tourism Association. Don talked about some of the ideas the Association has for making things happen in Snellville, and invited our members to join. If you missed the meeting, you can download the introduction letter and application (PDF).
The Club managed to raise over $1,800 from the Networking Golf Tournament at the end of June. Thanks to the sponsors, the players and those that came by afterwards for the barbecue and awards luncheon.
On May 4th, the Commerce Club presented scholarships to FBLA/DECA students Emily Southard of Brookwood High School and McKenzie Parkins of South Gwinnett High School. Learn more about Emily and McKenzie.
